In business for over ten years, Trevi Lakeside is a perennial favourite both for workers at Norwest Business Park and for locals living in the surrounding suburbs. The dining room is elegant and inviting and, as suggested by the name, the restaurant sits right on the lake making for lovely views and a serene atmosphere, especially if dining alfresco. The menu leans towards the Mediterranean: soft shell crab with fennel, lime and walnut, South Australian black mussels in white wine and garlic broth, zucchini flowers stuffed with porcini mushrooms and mozarella, and slow roasted Greek lamb. There is a definite Mediterranean drift. The menu is extensive, as is the excellent wine list and there are lunch specials which make for a sophisticated and affordable lunchtime choice. Produce is delivered fresh every day and the family owned business makes for a friendly and easy atmosphere. How wonderful to find such elegant dining in the middle of a business park. It is a beautiful thing, indeed.
