Foogoo is a great destination for a date night or for an easy dinner with family. The service is friendly and accommodating, and the chef is most talented indeed. The menu here is contained and smart: it is a showcase of contemporary and inventive Chinese cuisine. All dishes are delivered to perfection both in taste and look. Meals are made from scratch and the produce is fresh and flavoursome. Diners love the dumplings – especially the steamed duck and spinach ones, the guabao – steamed bun filled with pork belly, sriracha mayonnaise pickled radish and sauerkraut, and kung pao chicken. A seriously good diner and a big step above your standard Chinese local, it is little wonder Foogoo has been so embraced by the locals of Lane Cove.
